Brilliant fish and aquatic creatures emerge from the purple depths in vivid oranges, golds, and electric blues, each rendered with the gestural confidence of an artist painting from memory and imagination. The matte surface absorbs light rather than reflecting it, deepening the sense of submersion—of peering into water that reveals its secrets only to those who look long enough. This work belongs to the JeanElton DiskVase (DV) Collection, distinguished by its broad, disc-like profile and dramatically sculpted rim.
