Chromatic Compass commands attention with its bold rainbow stratification—vivid bands of crimson, tangerine, sunflower, and jade streaming across the form like a sunset over still water. At the heart of this celebration, a hypnotic spiral anchors the composition, drawing the eye inward even as the colors radiate outward. The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
