Cloud Pour IV

Cloud Pour is a serene exploration of air and aperture. The rim rises and folds with the unhurried movement of vapor, each crest catching light at a slightly different angle before curving back toward the interior. A circular portal punctuates the wall, introducing a second point of entry for both eye and illumination. The interplay between the open mouth above and the framed opening below gives the form a quiet architectural presence — a vessel that holds not contents but contemplation.

This work belongs to the JeanElton TallVase Collection, the studio's most prolific family of forms. Rising vertically from a compact footprint, each TallVase commands attention through form alone — the unadorned surface inviting the eye to follow every curve, fold, and shadow as it travels around the piece. The gentle taper and organic rim give each piece a quiet individuality within a consistent, commanding silhouette.

The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.

This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
