Gold drawn from quiet depths
A TallVase finished in a Metallic Line & Form surface treatment, in a Gold & Metallic color palette. 6 inches tall, 9 inches wide, 9 inches deep, weighing 3 pounds, with a gloss interior and a matte exterior. Line & Form pieces use deliberate linear marks — incisions, applied lines, or directional strokes — to define the visual structure of the piece.

The Story of the Work
Gilded Hush is a quietly radiant work in the JeanElton TallVase (TV) Collection. Its elegant curves are cloaked in a satin matte gold, softly diffused across the form like light filtered through mist. The finish carries a muted luminosity, never brash, always poised—inviting the eye to linger, and the imagination to listen.
Up close, the surface reveals delicate pitting and tonal variation, adding texture and depth to its restrained shimmer. These details are not flaws but traces of the firing process, giving the piece a living presence—one that shifts gently with the changing light.
The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
