Color Streams

Color_Streams captures the exuberant energy of a maypole in full celebration -- cascading bands of pure, saturated color streaming from crown to foot in unbroken ribbons of joy. Each hue claims its own lane yet presses close against its neighbors, the procession moving with such momentum that the eye follows it all the way around, and then around again.

The Prism_Streams surface treatment channels color into motion -- glazes arranged in flowing vertical bands that stream around the form in an unhurried, ribbon-like procession. Each color holds its own course while pressing close against its neighbors, creating a surface alive with continuous movement that rewards the slow turn of the piece in the hand.

The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.

This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
