Continuum Code is a bold entry in the JeanElton TallVase Collection, where abstract geometry and painterly movement intersect to evoke the complexity of modern communication. The design is dominated by vibrant circuitry-like motifs overlaid on a dreamy expanse of textured, cloud-like colors in orange, lilac, plum, and ochre. Grids, spirals, and punctuation-like symbols float across the surface like the residue of maps, glyphs, or signals yet to be deciphered. The forms pulse with motion, bridging the ancient and futuristic, the intuitive and the calculated.

The interior is finished in matte yellow, casting a warm glow into the vessel and offering a radiant contrast to the cool, coded surface. Both interior and exterior are matte, lending a soft, sophisticated texture that invites contemplation. This piece explores not just aesthetics, but the potential of design to suggest language, memory, and interpretation—an art object that reads like a message waiting to be read.

The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
