Sunburst Canopy II

A luminous dance of color and motion beneath a golden canopy: Sunburst Canopy is a radiant addition to the JeanElton portfolio, crafted within the TallVase Collection. Its scalloped rim, reminiscent of sunlit peaks, gives way to a vibrant interior finished in a warm, golden matte. The exterior, also matte, is a lively composition of swirling forms, delicate line work, and intricate patterns, evoking a sense of organic movement and boundless energy.
Bold blues, soft lavenders, and sunlit yellows weave together in a mesmerizing interplay of shape and contrast, punctuated by rhythmic dots and gestural strokes. The carefully layered surface treatment creates a dynamic visual texture, inviting the eye to explore its intricate details. Subtle black elements add structure, balancing the fluidity of the design while enhancing its rhythmic flow.
The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
