Festival Band II

Festival Band II is a radiant work in the JeanElton TallVase (TV) Collection. With a creamy matte white surface and a gently rippling top edge, it offers a celebration of both form and color. The top rim is bordered by an exuberant painted band of alternating red, orange, and purple blocks, unified by a sweeping curve that dips and rises like a festive banner strung in the breeze. The matte lavender interior offers a subtle counterpoint to the brightness outside.

Its sculptural presence is both playful and composed, a piece that rewards extended looking. The hand-painted band is intentionally fluid in its execution, bringing a touch of movement to an otherwise serene profile.

The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
