A march of color and precision
A Statement-scale TallVase finished in a Restrained Palette Line & Form surface treatment, in a Black & Red color palette. 15 inches tall, 12 inches wide, 12 inches deep, weighing 8 pounds, with a matte interior and a matte exterior. The Story of the Work
Crimson Parade is a bold and structured work in the JeanElton TallVase (TV) Collection. Alternating vertical bands of red, black, and ivory create a rhythmic procession that evokes both movement and discipline, like the regalia of a ceremonial parade. The striking contrast between the saturated tones and the crisp, narrow white stripes reinforces the sense of verticality, drawing the eye upward along the vase’s elegant contours.
The exterior design is meticulously hand-painted in matte, allowing each color to absorb and diffuse light with subtle depth. The interior, finished in the same soft matte, lends a calm and contemplative balance to the energetic composition. The piece achieves harmony through contrast—regimented in layout, yet dynamic in hue.
The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
