Crimson Rapture

Crimson Rapture is a passionate work in the JeanElton TallVase (TV) Collection. Like a spontaneous brush with intensity, this piece surges with emotion—its surface an energetic dance of crimson, black, lilac, and white. Swirls and splashes collide with purpose, creating an abstract landscape that evokes the immediacy of gesture, the vibrancy of movement, and the deep pull of instinct.
Its tall, gently tapered form lends elegance to the expressive surface, while the matte black interior provides a quiet counterbalance to the drama unfolding on the exterior. Both finishes are matte, which gives the piece a soft visual depth while allowing the motion within the design to take center stage.
The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its catalogue reference.
