Phoenix Blaze

Phoenix Blaze is a commanding work in the JeanElton TallVase (TV) Collection, alive with the essence of transformation and renewal. Swirls of crimson, burnt orange, and molten gold surge upward in waves of intensity, while deep violet shadows and flashes of white evoke the drama of ash and ember. The surface treatment dances with layered movement—like fire breaking through charred remains, luminous and alive.

The form itself—fluid yet substantial—echoes the mythic creature from which it takes its name: reborn from flame, regal in flight. Its folded rim and asymmetric curves lend an organic energy, as if shaped not by hand alone, but by elemental force. The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
